SUMMER CLASSES & REHEARSALS NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION
This year we are running a scaled-down version of our Summer Program with a focus on rehearsals in preparation for Regional Multicultural Festival Performances in February and March. Some sessions are open to dancers from the wider community, and others are open only to regular Ghawazee Moon students.
We encourage everyone to attend the Live Music Jam & Social Dance on Sunday 14th at Smith's Alternative.
Make sure you check Level and Requirements of all classes before registering.
Some sessions have Early Bird Registration available.
Full payment must be made on or before 14 December to be eligible for the discount.
WORKSHOP :: Percussion & Social Dance
Saturday 13th January
11:30-1:30pm
Nellie Hall, Melba
The first part of this workshop will cover common rhythm patterns and the opportunity to explore rhythm on finger cymbals, darabuka, frame drum & riqq. Those with some experience, will be able to hone their skills through practice, and experiment with fills and flourishes.
The second part of the workshop will cover social dance conventions. You will be able to play or dance - or do both - in a supportive and encouraging environment.
LEVEL: Open - No experience necessary.

WORKSHOP :: Crochet a Coin Scarf Sampler
Tuesday 16th January

In this workshop you will learn the basic crochet stitches needed to make your own coin scarf. We will be creating a sampler of various styles
We will go step-by-step through the process, using written instructions and charts. so you can confidently choose a style you like and create your very own coin scarf after the workshop.

Beginners will be learning this dance in Term 1. Due to the speed of learning, this class is set at an intermediate level.
